Remembrance Sunday – Beacon Lighting Ceremony at Hatfield House (November 2018)

Honouring the Past Through Light and Sound

On 11th November 2018, the nation marked 100 years since the end of World War I with a series of solemn and powerful tributes. One such event was the Beacon Lighting Ceremony at the historic Hatfield House, part of the nationwide initiative “Battle’s Over: A Nation’s Tribute.”

We were honoured to play a part in this important commemorative event, supporting the technical production for a day of remembrance, reflection, and unity.

Our Contribution: Sound, Lighting & Atmosphere

To ensure the ceremony was both respectful and impactful, we supplied and managed:

  • PA Systems Throughout the Estate
Clear, reliable audio coverage was crucial for the formal proceedings, speeches, and musical elements that took place throughout the day.

  • Outdoor Lighting Package
Working with trusted partners, we provided @prolightgroup and @americandj outdoor lighting fixtures. These were positioned to illuminate Hatfield House and its grounds with a dramatic and poignant red hue.

  • Lighting the Beacon
At the emotional climax of the evening, the moment the commemorative beacon was lit, the lighting across the site was set to a solemn red – a powerful visual symbol of remembrance and sacrifice.

A Historic Setting, A National Moment

Hatfield House, steeped in history, provided the perfect backdrop for this meaningful event. As the beacon’s flame rose into the night sky, so too did the collective memory of a nation — a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of those who served.

Thank you to the team at @hatfield_house for entrusting us with the technical delivery of this landmark event. Supporting moments of national importance like this reinforces why we do what we do — using sound and light not just to entertain, but to honour and unite.
