Illuminating Conceptual Fashion with Pixel Precision

In collaboration with a visionary creative team for the @r.l.eofficial AW23 collection, we had the opportunity to support a fashion photo shoot that was as conceptually deep as it was visually stunning. Hosted during London Fashion Week 2023, the shoot was a seamless blend of art, fashion, sound, and light — and we were proud to play a key role in bringing its unique visual language to life.

Our Role: Lighting Design & Supply

To help create a dynamic and emotionally resonant atmosphere, we supplied 30 LEDJ T-Pix Strip 80s — pixel-mappable LED bars ideal for sculptural, creative lighting setups. These were used to:

• Frame and elevate the set design, creating structural lines of light that interacted with the floral elements and models.

• Add motion and dimension to both still photography and video content through pixel effects and custom sequences.

• Bring the designer’s conceptual brief to life, reinforcing themes of fragility, growth, and transformation.

Creative Concept: “Life is like an eggshell…”

Designed by @cczhanggg, the collection and set design were built around the idea of emotional duality — fragility vs. strength, illusion vs. truth. Lighting played a key role in expressing this tension:

“Life is like an eggshell; we are wrapped in layers of petals. It is fragile yet tenacious, sensitive but strong. The butterflies in the illusion are analogous to insecurities, and the bloom of our inner flowers can only be discovered by facing one’s true heart.”

Our team worked closely with the art and production teams to ensure that the lighting reflected this poetry — soft yet structured, layered and luminous.
