Event Description:
Bride to be, Saba Nasseri was planning an elegant intimate wedding reception at The Lanesborough Hotel in London. The Bride was expecting around 40 guests to attend the event in The Belgravia Room. They wanted the lighting to create an intimate and romantic atmosphere for their guests ensuring highlighting the beautiful floral arrangements and other decorative elements were highlighted.
The Lanesborough Hotel is a luxury 5-star hotel located in Knightsbridge, London. The Belgravia Room is a beautifully decorated event space within the hotel that features opulent chandeliers, intricate woodwork, and elegant furnishings.
Scope of Work:
We were tasked with designing and executing a lighting plan that would create a warm and inviting atmosphere in the dining room. The lighting design needed to highlight the floral arrangements and architectural details of the room, create a complimentary lighting backdrop for photographs near the fireplace, and provide a smooth transition from day to night.
Solution:
We proposed a lighting plan that included the following elements:
Mood Lighting: To create a warm and intimate atmosphere in the dining room, the lighting company proposed using white lighting fixtures with warm white lighting. The tone of the light would change gradually from a brighter white to a warmer white as the evening progressed, creating a seamless transition from day to night.
Pin Spots: We used pin spots to highlight the floral arrangements and decorative details within the room. The pin spots were perfectly placed to ensure that the guests could see the beautiful floral arrangements and decor without overwhelming the space
Breakout Lighting: To create texture and ambience we used breakout lighting to highlight different areas of the room.
Complimentary Lighting for Fireplace: We also provided complimentary lighting for the fireplace backdrop which would be used for photographs. The lighting would be designed to highlight the fireplace and create a warm and inviting ambiance for guests taking photos.
Lighting Technician Support: Finally, the lighting company proposed providing a lighting technician to provide support throughout the day. The technician would be responsible for setting up and testing the lighting equipment, ensuring that the lighting was functioning correctly throughout the event, and making any necessary adjustments as the evening progressed.
