QSC RMX2450 Amplifier Hire FSL


These high-power, two-channel QSC RMX2450 Amplifier Hire are specifically designed to provide high levels of performance in a compact chassis. Multiple, balanced, input connectors are available catering for touring, club and fixed-installation applications. Comprehensive amplifier protection circuitry helps prevent damage to the amplifier and speakers.


Linear powered, fan-cooled and 2U rack-mounting, these designs are capable of driving speaker systems of two to eight ohms impedance. Switches on the rear can be set to configure the operation of the amplifier in stereo, parallel and bridge modes, as well as clip-limiting and low-frequency filtering. A 5Hz protection filter is always in circuit to protect against DC or low, sub-audio frequencies. The amplifiers also provide short-circuit, open-circuit, thermal, ultrasonic and RF protection. Input connectors are wired in parallel, supporting loop-through operation to additional amplifier channels. The Speakon output for channel one is wired on all four pins for single-cable connection to bi-amplified speakers.

The front panel has a power switch, two cooling-exhaust vents and two gain controls. LED indicators are provided for AC power (green), signal presence (yellow) and signal-clip (red) for each channel. The signal-clip LEDs also illuminate when a channel is in thermal-mute or if a short circuit on the output occurs.

The rear panel has an IEC socket for AC input power and a resettable circuit breaker. Channel inputs are balanced using barrier strip, latching XLR and 6.35 mm jack connectors. Amplifier operation is determined by mode switches for i nput configuration. Speaker connections are provided as two Speakon connectors and two pairs of binding-posts. A cooling fan is mounted behind the rear panel.
